As the rainy, cold winter season draws to a close and spring approaches, our group of friends have made plans to go hiking this weekend. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to embark on the Crystal Springs and Dean Trails.
Crystal Springs and Dean Trails are a 4.5-mile loop trail located near Redwood City, California. This trail offers a great forest setting and is suitable for hikers of all skill levels, with moderate traffic. In addition to hiking, the trail is perfect for walking and trail running, and it is accessible year-round.
As we hiked along the trail, we were delighted by the perfect shades of greenery and fun topics of conversation that kept us entertained. With an elevation of just 935 feet, the trail was perfect for “easy hikers” like myself. The redwoods and tiny creeks we encountered along the way made the experience even more enjoyable, and we all felt like we had a good workout. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
